TECHNICAL PLANTS

The factory technical plants have been designed and realized using the must evolutes equipments and technical solutions. The company computer net command and control all the factory plants using custom software. In this way is possible to operate using automatism and advanced functions, however from a net client location. Apart from civil installations, like the sanitary one and the ones for clean and dirty waters management, are implemented the following technical plants:

The electric plant
The primary energy is distributed with armour plated bus bar installed at the -1 and 1 levels along the principal building perimeter; so are available protected socket points usable also in the future without modify them. The operating lights and the programmable electrical loads are controlled in manual and automatic mode by a computer, so at any time is allowed to modify by software all plant operation specs. No electromagnetic pollutions are obtained using solid state electrical power switching.
  
 
The telephonic and radio plant
Telephone and radio plants are an integrated plant really flexible. Standard and emergency conditions are foreseen using different devices and circuits. Crypto communications are also available.

The data, television and satellite plant
Include teleconference and a particular satellite link with USA.


The air plant
Is produced high pressure compress air which after filtering, drying and accumulation is distribute to the factory; for each using point flow and pressure are controlled and when applicable is added lubricant.

The vacuum plant
Is produced and cumulated in a specific vacuum tank able to guarantee the operative specs; the vacuum is distributed in the factory using materials which guarantee the required decontamination level.

The azoth plant
The azoth, stocked in a tank array, is distributed in the factory using a matrix net that makes it available in each point.

The water plant
Produce industrial water accumulated after treatment of artesian well water. Is also produced unionized water.



The decontamination and air conditioning plant

The air in the decontaminate zones [level 0] is flowed from the ceiling [level +1] and withdrew from the floor [level -1]; in the inlet points are installed terminal filters sufficient to guarantee the desired decontamination level.
The air treatment is realized by 4 air treatment units to guarantee requirements differentiation, creating also the necessary redundancies; those air treatment units provides the filtering, the temperature regulation and the air circulation taking it from level -1 and flowing it to level +1. The air exchanges are guarantee, according with human requirements, from another treatment unit that takes the external air, makes a first decontamination, stabilizes it temperature and humidity independently of the season and distributes it in dosed quantity to the 4 treatment units.
For temperature regulation the treatment units use cold and hot water. The hot water is produced by a thermal central with accumulation, while for cold water is used an accumulation alimented by two chillers which works or in parallel or in redundant way.

The informatics plant
This plant integrates all informatics resorts located in the headquarters and branches. For all the activities developed are used only computers, eliminating paper use and obtaining also better reservation guaranties. The input-output media, documents and data, are maintained under the Safety and Security company control. Only the Rome branch manages the external world connections; here is installed the company server which has the internet and mail direct access and the data transfer system. The headquarters external world connection is established by a commuted link on the Rome server; in this manner a company server access is very difficult because normally disconnected from the net and connectible only on demand, with particular authentication procedures, this ensure protection against unauthorized data accesses.

The access control plant
The factory areas have a fully time controlled access in all the accessible areas; some areas are “classified” and so managed by the company security in agree with related requirement.

The ground plant
This plant includes: the equipotent one, the electric one, the ground signal one and the ground one.

The structural insulation plant

Some operative areas insist on plinth isolated from the primary factory structure; in those areas are installed high precision machines which can’t suffer structural vibrations.

The security and fire plant
Differential protections are active whether physical or electronic. A particular video plant allows all areas monitoring whether from the factory intern or extern by telesurveillance. In effraction case starts automatically auto protection procedures and using the telesurveillance are possible commanded actions. The security system integrates also the fire signalizing one.
UNCONTAMINATED AREAS

The factory is divided in the following air-conditioning decontaminated areas distinguished by decontamination level according to the following table:

The technical verify of norms responding is made in real time by an instrument, able to measure all important parameters: contamination, pressure, temperature and humidity. The instrument is connected with the informatics company net and so is possible to read the data and receive alarms using any computer client.

 

The plants are been designed assuming the following external ambient thermo hygrometric conditions:
- winter: -10°C
- summer: +35°C with 45% U.R.


The termo hygrometric internal conditions are guaranteed by an automatic electronic control system which, integrated with the company informatics net, allows using conditions read, the events log and the operative conditions modify. The standard work conditions for the entire year are:

 
- temperature +21°C +/-1°C
- relative humidity 50% +/-5%

Those conditions must be modified, operating on the electronic control system, always in the following range:
- temperature from +18°C to +24°C
- relative humidity from 40% to 60%
